Align Yourself With Your Highest Calling

Often times when a new season occurs, it can be a good time to kind of take a look at ourselves and see where we’re at. How do you feel? What do you think? What’s bothering you? What makes you happy? What challenges you? What’s missing? What would you like to accomplish in the next year? I’m sure you have your own way of assessing these things or if you’ve never thought of any of these things at all, well then, at least I’ve got you thinking!

I look at it this way, if you can get to be one with yourself and truthfully answer the questions I asked; then maybe you can get what you want! Isn’t that what life is all about, getting from A to B to make something happen or to accomplish a goal. Everybody’s ideas and problems are different and we are all so complex.   What I want or need, you may say is ridiculous and not even ponder in ten lifetimes (if ever given the chance to live ten lifetimes). Thank goodness, that we are all so different, that keeps things interesting and makes the world go round!

So take a moment and reflect on all that is good and what you have already achieved. Are you in gratitude for all the blessings you have been given already? Really, it is a wonderful privilege and honor to be free to do what you want to do, when you want to do it. Understanding what being grateful means is not overrated. There are some places in the world that you can’t be free to be an individual, to express yourself or even create art. Be thankful and appreciate what is good and beautiful about your life.

Being grateful can actually make our goals easier to obtain. Let me explain that concept. If you are a beginning ballroom dancer and you have taken lessons for a whole year and are appreciating the learning experience, it excels you to move forward to the next level naturally. Now you are ready to find a dance partner that can relate to you. You can also become motivated to enter dancesport competitions to earn points, win prizes and that could even propel you further to become a professional dancer! A positive, grateful spirit brings our dreams or wish list into focus and generally makes life easier to live! When you are operating on levels that promote space to grow, that is exactly what happens. You are free and open to create, thrive, achieve and obtain your goals as you see fit, which can lead to ultimate success!

I ask you dancers, what speaks to you? Where is your energy directed? Are you even aware that the universe is prepared to give you what you want? Now that one may take some time and consideration on your part, but is totally obtainable.   Stop, if need be and recalibrate your desires and goals. Dreams are not silly!  Align yourself with your highest calling!

Furthermore, in the wise words of our founder, Marilyn Fordney, “Life is an adventure, enjoy the ride!”
