I’ve chosen a very famous song to drive home a point. The song I chose to use is called, “Tiny Dancer” by the legendary Elton John. That song was written in the 70’s and I have always loved it and never grow tired of it.
My point is, there are no tiny dancers – really. Anyone who dances is doing something great for themselves and possibly others. It is a wonderful thing to be able to dance. In my eyes it is huge, wonderful and always satisfying. You are as big as you want to be!
Even if you are small in stature, when you
move across the dance floor, you are majestic and as tall as your legs can move you. So tiny does not apply to dance. People notice how you carry yourself, how you move and your ability to make it look easy, making us all want to jump right in and dance ourselves.
With all due respect to Mr. Elton John and his wonderful song, the height of a dancer,
absolutely matters not (thank God, because I’m pretty short). It makes no difference if you’re tall, skinny, overweight, short or any other thing you might drum up, all that matters is you want to dance and you do it!
Long live the art of dance,
