This Blog Is For Winners
That’s right, eventually you will win at something in your lifetime! I can’t promise that you will win the lottery. However, recently, I heard a man speak in a podcast, how he won the lottery several times. He claimed that he could formulate numbers in his head, see them and make them appear, winning him lots of money.
Everybody is a winner, if they want to be. At some point in life, you will be at the right place, in the right moment; to receive what the universe claims is rightfully yours! A strong statement, you don’t believe me? Take for example, pro-am dancers who compete in competitions over and over again and still get the 5thplace award, in their category, in the Latin division. Of course, they are looking to win 1stplace. Whether they know it or not, luck is really with them. Over and over again is good, never giving up is good, taking it personally that you didn’t win (this time), not so good. The number one reason in achieving success is SHOWING UP! You can’t win, if you are sitting in the audience, watching. So, 5th place Latin winner knows there is always another comp, another try, and something new to learn. You are already a winner, by how you think and take action!
The secret to winning is, showing up. Eventually, if you keep at it, you can see where opportunity turns into success. In the case of the pro-am dancer who always dances in the Latin category and comes in 5th place; may one day decide to try something new. Let’s say, that dancer did a new dance in the Standard category and won 3rd place on the first try; that’s the universe telling you something! This dancer is a real winner, and I hope you can see why. This person is being rewarded for their hard work and efforts.
Many times in life we fail, failing is a good way to become a winner. A weird statement, I think not. Inventors, scientists and artists fail most of the time and when they finally stumble on the perfect answer, cure, invention, song, dance, etc., it was because of constantly working at it and never giving up. Do not be afraid of conflict or rejection, it fuels us to do better in all walks of life. A personal example here is, I write songs and get rejected all the time. I once went to see a publisher, who rejected me and said I wasn’t that good. But when a major artist cut one of my songs, that same publisher called me on the phone and said he would like to revisit my catalogue.
People who create are so fortunate. They have the best of all worlds. They are generally positive people and passionate about doing what they love. They see the world as the land of opportunity. They have stamina, drive and live in faith. They believe that what they put into life comes back to them. That’s a winner!
Live in Gratitude,
**We have received contributions from individuals who would like to have a dear relative or friend who passed on remembered that loved to dance or was a dance aficionado. We call these memorial contributions. Perhaps you would like to have someone memorialized in this manner. Make a donation and give us their name. We will soon put on our website a yellow brick road to add their name to a brick as a memorial to that person. This contribution will assist future generations of dancers and help keep young people more positive and healthy.
