We All Need Inspiration

This week I’d like to acknowledge the change in the season and the beginning of new paths about to be taken. If you are going back to school or taking new dance lessons/classes or maybe some of you are starting a new job, we wish you well!

As we go forward on our journeys, all of us at the Fordney Foundation are excited to continue bringing you the “joy of dance” in all forms we can find to please you, entertain you and keep you informed, as well as help you to learn new things.

We all need inspiration to make life’s progression just a little bit sweeter – and there is no exception to that rule!   That being said, here is a little inspiration for you from not only our founder of Fordney Foundation, Marilyn Fordney, who is a very big part of inspiration in my life on a daily level, but also the co-founder, her husband, Sandor Havasi, who has taken these peaceful and beautiful photos I am sharing with you today. And we’re adding a special treat from Marilyn Fordney’s sister, Esmé Takahashi, who wrote this special and meaningful poem for her and we hope you will enjoy it.

Bring us the dance

That makes us grow strong

That keeps us afloat

With hope as our bond

Bring us the dance

That circles us in

To join hands as one

To make us all win

Bring us the dance

That dazzles our eyes

That lifts us above

The stars in the skies

Dance with a fire

With a passionate spin

With a rainbow desire

That will draw us all in

                                                                                                              by      Esmé Takahashi

As for me, I’ll be changing things up here and there and I started with a new photo of me.

Here’s to a new day, a new plan, and always, a wonderful dance!
