A Bit of Dance History

Writer: Freddie BrockFreddie Brock

I thought it would be fun to summarize ballroom dance origination and history in the shortest amount of time possible. What better way to do that than-video. Sometimes, "a picture is worth a thousand words."

I present a quick story on how ballroom dancing got started and another very cool video on the Evolution of dance, from 1920 - 2020, creatively depicted by two French girls.

See how many of these dances you can do! All you ballroom dancers out there, be proud of your craft and continue to represent the true legacy of ballroom dance in all its splendor!

Enjoy,

***We have received contributions from individuals who would like to have a dear relative or friend who passed on remembered that loved to dance or was a dance aficionado. We call these memorial contributions. Perhaps you would like to have someone memorialized in this manner. Make a donation and give us their name. We have on our website a yellow brick road to engrave their name to a brick as a memorial to that person. This contribution will assist future generations of dancers and help keep young people more positive and healthy.
